I've just done a costume based on the 1940's as part of a costume desgin project i did and it has re kindled my love for the 40's i love em' i have always loved the way the land army girls dress, how they some how kept the glamor whilst working in the fields without looks like a ridiculous out of place WAG. and the best thing they didn't need any power dressing crap either. i think unintentional the land army girls were the first to start the carki, farmer girl and the overalls looks which would be copied so many times.
 bloody geniuses the lot of them !

im half way through changing my blog so its gone back to basic for a bit hope you dont mind also i think i've lost my way with this blogging thing because of one thing and another but its going to change along with the pretty pictures on it. promise !

oh and i bought a Jim Morrison t-shirt (if it ever gets here) and some new summer sandals the other day i'll post about them soon.

summers hit me like a brick wall. and is slowly stealing all my money. apparently you cant wear granny jumpers in the summer. and this time i have actually invested in some thing on trend, clogs. i've bought the usual summer stuff as well, but nothing worth shouting about.

maybe i'll knit my self some.

i saw these shorts ages ago on stolen girlfriends website and fell in love but it was a short lived love untill i saw them again on park and cubes blog.

do i really need to explain the beauty of these?

its such a shame a cant afford them at all... maybe i'll just knit myself some.

long time no see

wow its been quite a while sorry, but I've been quite busy with school and stuff. so anyway i went to Belgium over easter. found some amazing little shops and markets, it was all so pretty. i also have a new found love for bicycles every one had them and they all looked so stylish riding them although i doubt i would have the same elegance trekking up hte hills of bury.

down the rabbit hole

alice in wonderland is one of the most inspirering films i have ever seen tim burton is a genuis. i also adore the costumes in it epspecially the mad haters. i just love the neck tie and the top hat is simply beautiful.

it looks like every body's jumping on the alice in wonderland bandwagon at the moment and some people are sick of it but to be quite honest i love it, its so quaint and frilly, just up my street.
